If y’all followed me on Twitter and enjoyed by daily “This day in Texas history” posts, and/or have visited my website and read my blog about all things Texas, then I hope y’all’ll follow me over to Substack and sign up for my newsletter, Y’allogy. Like driving cattle from one pasture to another, I’m migrating my Texas articles from my website to Substack.
As a working writer, I’m hoping to garner greater support from those Texans and Texas-loving folks who have enjoyed my take on the people, the place, and the past of the Lone Star State. Instead of leaving things to chance that y’all might miss a post because of Twitter’s or Facebook’s algorithms, Substack allows me to drop articles right into y’all’s laps, so to speak, through email.
My goal is to send out two pieces a month—maybe more for special occasions. All y’all need to do is subscribe. There are two options: a free subscription and a paid subscription. There’ll be more goodies for paid subscribers, which I’ll lay out in the coming weeks, but I hope some of y’all who have the means and have particularly liked my writing will seriously consider supporting me financially as a partner in this effort. I would be much obliged.
Vaya con dios, mis amigos.
